[NIV] So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with `unclean' hands?"
[NASB] The Pharisees and the scribes *asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?"
[BBE] And the Pharisees and the scribes put the question to him, Why do your disciples not keep the rules of the fathers, but take their bread with unwashed hands?
[KJV] Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

[MSG] The Pharisees and religion scholars asked, "Why do your disciples flout the rules, showing up at meals without washing their hands?"
[AMP] And the Pharisees and scribes kept asking [Jesus], Why do Your disciples not order their way of living according to the tradition handed down by the forefathers [to be observed], but eat with hands unwashed and ceremonially not purified?
[NKJ] Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"

[NASB] And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME.
[BBE] And he said, Well did Isaiah say of you, you false ones: These people give me honour with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
[KJV] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
[ASV] And he said unto them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their liPSM, But their heart is far from me.
[WEB] answered them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'This people honors me with their lips, But their heart is far from me.
[YLT] he answering said to them -- `Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, hypocrites, as it hath been written, This people with the lips doth honor Me, and their heart is far from Me;
[DARBY] he answering said to them, Well did Esaias prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honour me with their lips, but their heart is far away from me.
[ESV] And he said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, "'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;
[MSG] Jesus answered, "Isaiah was right about frauds like you, hit the bull's-eye in fact: These people make a big show of saying the right thing, but their heart isn't in it.
[AMP] But He said to them, Excellently and truly [ so that there will be no room for blame] did Isaiah prophesy of you, the pretenders and hypocrites, as it stands written: These people [constantly] honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far distant from Me.
[NKJ] He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: "This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

他們將人的吩咐當做道理教導人，所以拜我也是枉然。

[NIV] They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.
[NASB] 'BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'
[BBE] But their worship is to no purpose, while they give as their teaching the rules of men.
[KJV] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
[ASV] But in vain do they worship me, Teaching [as their] doctrines the precepts of men.

[MSG] They act like they are worshiping me, but they don't mean it. They just use me as a cover for teaching whatever suits their fancy,
[AMP] In vain (fruitlessly and without profit) do they worship Me, ordering and teaching [to be obeyed] as doctrines the commandments and precepts of men.
[NKJ] And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'

[NIV] And he said to them:"You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!
[NASB] He was also saying to them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.
[BBE] And he said to them, Truly you put on one side the law of God, so that you may keep the rules which have been handed down to you.
[KJV] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
[ASV] And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition.
[WEB] said to them, "Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.
[YLT] he said to them, `Well do ye put away the command of God that your tradition ye may keep;
[DARBY] he said to them, Well do ye set aside the commandment of God, that ye may observe what is delivered by yourselves [to keep].
[ESV] And he said to them, "You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!
[MSG] He went on, "Well, good for you. You get rid of God's command so you won't be inconvenienced in following the religious fashions!
[AMP] And He said to them, You have a fine way of rejecting [thus thwarting and nullifying and doing away with] the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition (your own human regulations)!
[NKJ] He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

[BBE] For Moses said, Give honour to your father and mother, and, He who says evil of father or mother, let him have the punishment of death:
[KJV] For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
[ASV] For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death:

[AMP] For Moses said, Honor (revere with tenderness of feeling and deference) your father and your mother, and, He who curses or reviles or speaks evil of or abuses or treats improperly his father or mother, let him surely die.
[NKJ] For Moses said, "Honor your father and your mother'; and, "He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'

[NIV] 'But you say that if a man says to his father or mother:`Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban '(that is, a gift devoted to God),
[NASB] but you say, 'If a man says to {his} father or {his} mother, whatever I have that would help you is Corban (that is to say, given {to God}),'
[BBE] But you say, If a man says to his father or his mother, That by which you might have had profit from me is Corban, that is to say, Given to God,
[KJV] But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
[ASV] but ye say, If a man shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, Given [to God];
[WEB] you say, 'If a man will tell his father or his mother, "Whatever you might have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, given to God;"'

[MSG] But you weasel out of that by saying that it's perfectly acceptable to say to father or mother, "Gift! What I owed you I've given as a gift to God,'
[AMP] But [as for you] you say, A man is exempt if he tells [his] father or [his] mother, What you would otherwise have gained from me [everything I have that would have been of use to you] is Corban, that is, is a gift [already given as an offering to God],
[NKJ] But you say, "If a man says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban"--' (that is, a gift to God),

[NIV] then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.

[BBE] Making the word of God of no effect by your rule, which you have given: and a number of other such things you do.
[KJV] Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
[ASV] making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do.

[NIV] Nothing outside a man can make him `unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him `unclean.' "
[NASB] there is nothing outside the man which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man.
[BBE] There is nothing outside the man which, going into him, is able to make him unclean: but the things which come out of the man are those which make the man unclean.

[YLT] again, having gone forth from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis,
[DARBY] again having left the borders of Tyre and Sidon, he came to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
[ESV] Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis.
[MSG] Then he left the region of Tyre, went through Sidon back to Galilee Lake and over to the district of the Ten Towns.
[AMP] Soon after this, Jesus, coming back from the region of Tyre, passed through Sidon on to the Sea of Galilee, through the region of Decapolis [the ten cities].
[NKJ] Again, departing from the region of Tyre and Sidon, He came through the midst of the region of Decapolis to the Sea of Galilee.

[BBE] And they came to him with one who had no power of hearing and had trouble in talking; and they made a request to him to put his hands on him.

[BBE] And they were overcome with wonder, saying, He has done all things well: he even gives back the power of hearing and the power of talking to those who have been without them.
[KJV] And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
[ASV] And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
